3D ART GALLERY CRITERIAS

If you dream to win the 3D ART GALLERY AWARD one day, you must read these criterias carefully and create your renders according to these criterias.

We evaluate your works through some phases.

GENERAL COMPOSITION OF THE SCENE

All your objects in your scene must be scattered in your scene in an attractive and logical way. When we evaluate your scene, we must see a story behind it.

I mean; don’t make a scene just to make a scene. Give your scene a soul so that we can feel it and see the story beyond.

This is our most important criteria for 3D ART GALLERY. Even some renders which are not so realistic might won 3D ART GALLERY AWARD with their stories.

MODELS IN YOUR SCENE

Models in your scene must be well proportioned. We really DO care about proportions.

For example; the chair must not be bigger than the table. (Just an example).

In order to get a proportioned scene, you must observe that models in the real life. By doing so, you will get the exact proportion in your scene.

Also; please check all your models before render process. Correct if any polygonal faults are available and fix them.

TEXTURES

The textures you use also have to be well proportioned matching each other. We see that the most of the people don’t pay attention on this. If you don’t texturize your models in right scales then they will look bad in final render.

We also look for some depth on your textures. For instance; let’s say you make a concrete wall texture. You must use bump channel for the texture. By doing so you’ll give your texture depthness and it will look more realistic. Otherwise your texture will look too flat and unnatural

LIGHTING:

Pay really much attention on the lighting guys.

Let us give you this tip:

Inorder to get a realistic lighting, you better go out and observe the light effects during the day in the real life. Pay attention on which day period which light effects on where and why.

This is the best way to  make a realistic lighting in your scenes.

As I always say; always get more realistic result with  less lights possible. That’s the secret of realistic rendering.

POST PRODUCTION

None of raw renders are good enough never ever. You must definitely make color corrections, adding some birds etc to your scene and etc…

We DO care about POST PRODUCTION.

A lot of works which has a 3D ART GALLERY AWARD potential didn’t make it just because they ignored to use Photoshop to make final render look much better.
